Blind Barista Logo

This was a fun little idea I had once I started coming around to understanding the power of SVG coding. Not only could I draw illustrations, but it also re-opened my ability to develop and create logos! When I was sighted, I used to love building logos with Adobe Illustrator and relished sitting down with clients and sketching out ideas before eventually turning them into digital assets for them to use in various forms of media.

Throughout the pandemic, I ran a club in the Clubhouse app called "The Blind Barista" where I would host skill sharing and info dumping rooms to talk about all things coffee and coffee-brewing. This fun vector idea of a white cane resting against a steaming cappuccino mug just popped right into my head one evening, and I was able to knock this out in under an hour while incorporating some fun SVG drawing techniques.

A stylized white cappuccino cup resting on a white saucer. The cup has a rounded handle pointing to the right, and both the cup and saucer have grey shading. Three equidistant curls of steam are rising out of the cup. A white cane with a black grip, a red lower section, and an ellipsoidal NFB-style metal tip is resting at an angle against the front-left lip of the cup, with the tip just in front of and below the level of the base of the saucer. The cane has a black elastic loop coming out of the top of the grip, looping over to the left side of the handle.
