Asanda Pavlacka Integrated Health Logo

My first commercial logo design since losing my vision in 2014. I sat with Asanda who is a friend of mine and who happens to be a blind entrepreneur/business owner. She wanted a logo, and we talked through her ideas as I sketched tactile drawings on paper using a Sensational Blackboard. Once we found a design she liked, I recreated it digitally with SVG code and produced the final graphic here.

If you happen to be in the San Francisco Bay Area, Asanda is an amazing masseuse, plus she also specializes in nutrition, cranio-sacral therapy, hypnotherapy, and more. Here's her website: Asanda Pavlacka Integrated Health (formerly Elite Massage & Cranio-Sacral Therapy)

Asanda's logo on a white background. A stylized capital letter A with a black A-frame, thicker at the top and tapering down into rounded serifs at the feet of the A. There is a blue brush stroke making up the crossbeam of the A, with a lighter blue at the top of the stroke and a darker blue at the bottom. There is a black circle sitting on top of the stroke at the lower-left side of the A and a white circle with a black outline sitting on the upper-right side of the A, also on top of the brush stroke. The stroke is curbed and rises upwards from the lower-left to the upper-right and the placement of the circles signifies balance. A stylized capital letter A against a black background. The main A-frame/legs are white which are thicker at the top and taper down into rounded serifs. The crossbeam of the A is a blue brush stroke smoothly angling upwards from the lower-left to the upper right of the image. The brush stroke is made up of three shades of blue, lighter at the top and darker at the bottom. There is a black circle with a white outline sitting on the lower-left section of the brush stroke, and a white circle sitting on the upper-right side of the brush stroke, signifying balance.
